This Code defines the behavioural and ethical standards expected of all individuals representing CAGI. It exists to preserve trust, professionalism, and credibility across all engagements.

All representatives of CAGI must act with:
- Integrity
- Independence
- Professional competence
- Respect for diverse perspectives
- Accountability for actions and decisions
- Professional Behaviour
Individuals must:
- Act honestly and in good faith
- Avoid misrepresentation of CAGI’s role, authority, or positions
- Engage respectfully with governments, academia, industry, and the public
- Refrain from discriminatory, abusive, or harassing behaviour
- Neutrality and Independence
CAGI representatives must:
- Maintain neutrality between commercial, governmental, and academic interests
- Avoid advocacy for specific vendors, products, or services
- Refrain from lobbying activities on behalf of third parties
- Clearly separate personal opinions from official CAGI positions
- Use of Position
Individuals must not:
- Use CAGI affiliation for personal or organisational commercial gain
- Imply endorsement, certification, or approval where none exists
- Leverage access to confidential or non-public information for advantage
- Confidentiality
All non-public information obtained through CAGI must be:
- Protected appropriately
- Used only for authorised purposes
- Not disclosed without permission
- Compliance with Law and Policy
All representatives must comply with:
- Applicable laws and regulations
- CAGI policies, charters, and governance decisions
- This Code and the Conflict of Interest Policy
- Breaches
Breaches of this Code may result in:
- Formal investigation
- Disciplinary action
- Removal from role or affiliation
- Public clarification where reputational harm has occurred
